Everyone wants a better life for them and their families. So why doesn't it happen? Well, apparently it has. There is a place called DAMANHUR, Italy. Where a group of 600 people have lived in a comunnal style of living for over 30 years. They are a self-sustaining, eco-friendly, society which values the gift of humanity and the our planet. Group leaders are re-elected every year. It is a fascinating culture which also values the creativity in each individual. They eat, sleep, and work together as well as raise the children, care for the animals, property and homes. And all this has been done peacefully for over 30 years!

So, I had to ask myself, why can't this be done here? Well, it has been tried. WACO, HEAVEN'S GATE, and most recently, the Yearning for Zion ranch - where 400 children were removed due to allegations of child abuse. So why has it succeeded in DAMANHUR and not in the US? I can't answer that question, but I do know we could learn a lot from them.
